The Foire Saint-Martin, an autumn institution in the town
An agricultural fair in downtown Perpignan in the early 19th century, where you could buy an ox to pull the plow or piglets for holiday meals, the Saint-Martin fair then became more recreational with the arrival of circuses, then merry-go-rounds and attractions at the end of the 19th century. At the time, it was only held on November 11 and two Sundays a year.
A growing success, the fair now runs from the end of October to the end of November every year - four full weeks when this popular event is in full swing, bringing autumn to life in the run-up to the festive season. The fair is spread over 4.5 hectares and hosts no fewer than 150 fairground vendors.
A party for young and old alike!
A wide variety of rides awaits you!
Rides for the little ones, thrill rides, but also must-sees like the ghost train, the Ferris wheel, shooting galleries, duck fishing... A rich offer of multiple attractions that will allow you to spend a convivial moment, whether as lovers, with family or friends.
And there's no better accompaniment to this festive occasion than the traditional treats of cotton candy, churros, sweets, pommes d'amour and crêpes... on the spot or to take away for those with a sweet tooth. When night falls, the lights and music give the Saint-Martin Fair an even more festive, enchanting atmosphere. Every year, new attractions join the fair to make it even livelier! So even if summer is behind us, the fair is the best way to combat the dreariness.
France's fifth-largest funfair is sure to put a smile on your face. There's plenty of entertainment on offer, including Disney parades, as well as special offers such as half-price tickets on certain days.
