THE OLYMPIC FLAME IN PERPIGNAN

Perpignan welcomes the Olympic flame!

See you in Perpignan on Wednesday May 15.

The flame will leave the Parc des Sports at 6.15pm and cross the city to the Palace of the Kings of Majorca, where the cauldron will be lit at 7.20pm.

At the Parc des Sports

2pm to 6pm: Village of associations & demonstrations

Parc des Sports gymnasium (A): taekwondo, archery, fencing, judo, table tennis.
Halle Marcel Cerdan (B): badminton, handball, volleyball.
Salle Multi-Activités (C): modern pentathlon.
Skate Park (D): skateboarding.
Plateau Hand (E): 3×3 basketball.
Synthetic space (F): boxing, breaking.

A festive program awaits you:

4pm to 5:30pm - Sports demonstrations: 4×4 Handball, Fencing, Judo, Wrestling, Rhythmic Gymnastics.
events organized by local authorities: sports, music, shows...

- Coca-Cola will be offering a musical and festive atmosphere
- Banque Populaire brings water sports to the public
- The Caisse d'Epargne dedicates its stand to basketball and handball
a show organized by the sponsors on the sports slab starting at 6 p.m.
7.20pm: the arrival of the last relay team and the lighting up of the Olympic cauldron, a moment not to be missed!

Note: a giant screen, an animator and a DJ will also be on hand to get the public in the mood for the Relais de la Flamme!

The path of the flame

In the Pyrénées-Orientales

The torch is first expected at the summit of the Canigou mountain, before descending to Prades, then to the pre-Olympic city of Font-Romeu. Stops are then scheduled at Céret, Lac de Villeneuve-de-la-Raho and Collioure. The Flame will end its journey in Perpignan, where it will pass through the heart of the city.
