CAMPO SANTO ET CHAPELLE DE LA FUNERARIA
In the shade of St John’s Cathedral you can find the "Saint Jean" or "Campo Santo" cloister-cemetery.
Its construction dates at the beginning of XIV century. It was composed by four galleries covered with a roof made of wood and held by columns with sculpted capitals.
Today you can admire the long rows of Gothic porticoes in white marble decorating the perimeter.
At the bottom of the cloister you can find the funerary chapel illuminated by the contemporary window by Shirley Jaffe which matches contemporary art with Medieval architecture. Classified as Historical Monument. Free entrance.
Closed from the beginning of August to the beginning of October, and some public holidays.
