What if we were to talk about a time that the under-twenties never knew? ... About that light decade, the last one perhaps, which brought a not necessarily fun century to a close in a pretty way, about those few years stolen from the gloom when we were enthusiastic about silly sitcoms, when technology was making leaps forward worthy of a cultural revolution, when the field of possibilities was still wide open and music offered us the best... and the worst. But Pablo Mira, who so effectively dissects the passage of time in "4 minutes douche comprise" on TMC, knows that there's a fine line between smiling nostalgia and patent ridicule. With his muscular little arms, he revisits this not-so-simple past, with a slightly sarcastic eye, in order to bend the neck of the pop culture that flooded our lives in the 90s. As for whether it was better before, Pablo Mira may not know, but by reminding us with mischief, tenderness and a few horrors, he makes us want to dive right back in for a few moments of happy nostalgia.
