The exhibition, whose main theme is ceramics, presents the art of Jean Lurçat (1892-1966) in all its diversity.

Based on the theme of the four elements - Earth, Fire, Water and Air - the tour reveals to the public a central theme in Jean Lurçat's repertoire, and highlights his visionary sensitivity to the perils of Nature, which he never ceased to celebrate in its relationship with Man.

Both lover and detractor of a world whose paradoxes he tirelessly described, Jean Lurçat's works carry strong messages, whose resonance is redoubled today.

With over 200 works by Jean Lurçat on display, the Musée Rigaud offers an intimate glimpse into a singular aesthetic universe and a pioneering discourse.
