Covering an area of 12 hectares (4 of which are within the fortified enclosure), Serrat d'en Vaquer is located south-west of Perpignan, on the highest hill in the Roussillon plain, close to the 14th-century Arcades aqueduct.
Popular with walkers, the park offers exceptional panoramic views over the Roussillon plain, from the Albères to the Corbières, from the Canigou to the sea, as well as a botanical discovery of Mediterranean flora.
