The label
Created in 2001, the Tourism & Handicap label enables us give to disabled people a reliable, homogeneous and objective information about the accessibility of the touristic places, for the four main types of handicap (physic, visual, hearing and mental). By promoting an adapted touristic rate, it allows the emergence of touristic products and services accessible for everyone.
The label also promotes the efforts of the professionals in tourism in terms of accessibility and reception of specific customers. They are both actors and ambassadors of the reception of disabled people. Their commitment is a way to benefit from an additional competitive advantage in France and Europe.
The step to get the label can be taken by all the tourism professionals:
- accomodation (hotels, vacation camps, family houses, guesthouses, vacation rentals, campsites ...)
- catering (restaurants, bars ...)
- Touristic places (monuments, museums, exhibition halls, castles, gardens ...)
- Leisure places (theme parks, sportive and leisure facilities, swimming pools, auditoriums ...)
